Appendix B

Local Study

Our team collected 85 responses. We shared our surveys on our personal social media, IUPUI students, and on the HHS Facebook. After receiving the responses, we turned the questions into charts, using Excel and Canva. Our three surveys were as follows:

  1. "Help Wildlife! Take Our Survey!"

  2. "Help A Local Business! Take Our Survey!"

  3. "How Social Media Can Benefit A Local Business!”

 

The Purpose of Our Survey: Aiding Our Recommendations

Our combined research gave useful information to base a recommendation for our client, in order to support our recommendation, we collected more data through surveys. The information from the surveys was important as our research alone could not provide enough answers to your questions. For our surveys, we used specific questions related to our recommendation and what our client stated they want to know more about. The results from the surveys are present below in the bar graph, and pie chart.

Graphs and Charts without figure numbers were not used in the analysis itself, but is still relevant data to the report as whole.

Survey 1

The questions from the first survey we sent our were:

  1. If you have ever taken action due to a social media post, what was it about the post that motivated you?

  2. What kind of content do you like to see on social media?

  3. If you are a part of any clubs or organizations, what caused you to join? If not, what might cause you to join one?

  4. What aspects of organizations or clubs are most important to you?

  5. To what extent are you interested in herpetology (the study of reptiles and amphibians)?

  6. Is your interest in herpetology mainly in their novelty and “coolness” and animal care or does it fall under a broader interest in wildlife and nature?

  4. When viewing a website, how would you prefer the offered sales be presented?

  5. When viewing a website, how cautious are you of sharing your financial and/or contact information and what would influence your decision to do so?
